      Research progress of end-tidal carbon dioxide pressure in cardiopulmonary resuscitation

      Cardiopulmonary resuscitation( CPR) is an important way to rescue cardiac arrest(CA). Sensitive monitoring methods have guiding significance for improving the quality of CPR. End-tidal carbon dioxide pressure( P_(ET)CO_2) can be more sensitive to reflect the production of CO_2, the variety of cardiac output( CO), and lung ventilation/blood flow ratio, which is an indispensable monitoring index in the process of high quality CPR. This article will describe the research situation of P_(ET)CO_2 during each link of CPR, which can provide the basis to guidance CPR process and improve the success rate of CPR.
